This is 53890, 53899, 53965, 53969, and 53970 wait a second here, were you trying to fool people into thinking you were me?
I don't think birth control is PERFECT, but... you are almost right... almost always it is caused by user error. We also have things like the morning after pill which no I do not consider an abortion.
First trimester is tolerable in my opinion because of the fact a natural miscarriage can happen within this time. But realistically, why would you need more than a month to decide on an abortion. Why not let some individual states err on the side of caution when what you are doing *might* be infanticide?
Just because I believe the states should be able to decide this for themselves doesn't mean I'm some sort of Christian crazy. I am dogmatic, but not in a religious way. Just in an ideological way... Like I said I am an atheist.
The abortion issue raises a horrible dilemma in libertarian ideology because the ideas of "self-ownership" and "children's rights" conflict with each other. Some would just say the fetus is a parasite on the mother so "self-ownership" takes priority, others say it is still a child past a certain stage of development and has the same rights as a born child.
Letting the states decide individually to some degree on this issue isn't such a bad idea given this conflict in ideology. I think it allows for greater elevation of the individual
